What does Ketamine Therapy include and how much does it cost?

• There is a one-time $150 cost for your initial consultation. Our Ketamine infusions cost $475 per treatment. A series is 6-8 infusions is necessary for it to be fully effective. Unfortunately, Ketamine infusions are not covered by insurance at this time.
• To be effective, each patient needs a total of 6-8 treatment infusions. Treatment plans are tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
• It is important to complete at least six infusions, minimum.
• Pain treatment may take up to 10 infusions, it varies by patient.
• Preferably three treatment infusions per week, for two consecutive weeks.
• After your series of infusions, you switch to a maintenance booster (one time infusion). The frequency of your boosters depends on the patient. Normally, this happens about four months after the initial series.
• Maintenance infusions are patient dependent. A plan will be developed for each patient, based on their needs and how their body responds.
• You are required to pay for at least 2 treatments upfront; then you can pay day of for remaining infusions.

• The initial appointment is approximately two hours, everything after that is about 1.5 hours. We will closely monitor you throughout the IV infusion process. You will be attached to our monitors and our team will ensure that you are safe until the infusion is complete.
• After the procedure, you will stay in the recovery area approximately 30 minutes for observation until our medical providers feel that you are ready to be discharged home.
• Before receiving each infusion, we will need to verify that you have arranged transportation in order to leave the clinic as you will not be able to drive for the next several hours until the effects of Ketamine wear off.
• Please wear comfortable, loose clothing so we are able to easily place the cardiac monitor leads under your shirt.
• Our experienced staff will assess each patient after the 6th treatment to see if they are a responder to the Ketamine infusions. If the patient is a non-responder, no additional infusions will be administered. A very low percentage of people are non-responders.

We allow a guest to be with you, however, this is a very personal decision. Some people can be comforting and helpful, whereas others may increase anxiety. Dr. Khare feels it is best to be alone for treatment, as it is the patient’s personal journey, however we leave this decision up to you. Innovative Ketamine has a comfortable waiting room where your friend/family member can wait. If a patient chooses to have a guest in the room with them during their infusion, we ask the guest to simply sit quietly, not interrupting the infusion by talking or moving.
